If you or someone you care about is in crisis and needs immediate help, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at (800) 273-8255. The phone lines are answered by trained professionals; the call is free and confidential. If you need to be connected to mental health services in Riverside County, call the CARES Line at (800) 499-3008. If emergency medical care is needed, call 9-1-1 or go to the emergency room of the nearest hospital.

  • Riverside University Health System – Behavioral Health This website provides information about mental health and substance use services provided for children, adults and older adults.  A comprehensive service directory lists services for the Desert, Mid-County and Western Regions, as well as crisis lines.
  • CARES Line Phone: (800) 499-3008 The Community Access, Referral, Evaluation and Support line (CARES Line) is available Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm and answered by licensed clinicians who provide support and crisis intervention, as well as connections to outpatient, inpatient and community resources. After hours service is available to refer individuals across Riverside County with appropriate mental health resources in their area. This resource provides information and referrals for Medi-Cal beneficiaries seeking Mental Health Services in English and Spanish.

  • Peer Navigation Line Phone: (888) 768-4968 Hours of Operation: 8am- 4pm M-F Sometimes you might have questions about your own thoughts, mood, or behaviors that worry you. Sometimes friends or family tell us that we might need to talk to someone. It can be confusing and even harder when you don’t know where to start. The Peer Navigation Line is a phone line where you can talk to a real person who is in their own behavioral health recovery – they have ‘been there’ and have had the same questions, fears, and judgments. They want to help! The Peer Navigation Line can:
    • Listen to your worries and talk about your choices
    • Help figure out where your local resources are
    • Help you decide which resources are best for you
    • Point out a good place to start
    • Answer questions about mental health recovery
    • Help you see the hope
  • 2-1-1 Community Connect  Phone: 2-1-1 This information and referral hotline connects Riverside County residents in times of critical needs with those who can help.  Every call is answered by a trained referral specialist who will connect individuals with the appropriate agency providing the services and information they need.
  • Riverside Network of Care for Behavioral Health  A resource for individuals, families and agencies looking for mental health resources and information in Riverside County. The site includes information on local services, legislation, support and related news among other features.
  • NAMI Western Riverside County Phone: (951) 369- 2721 Provides support and referral services to people in need in the cities of Riverside, Moreno Valley, Corona, Norco and the Jurupa Valley/Rubidoux area.
  • NAMI Temecula Valley Phone: (951) 672-2089 NAMI Temecula Valley is a grassroots organization dedicated to improvement of life for those afflicted with mental illness and their loved ones.
  • NAMI Coachella Valley  Phone: (888) 881-6264 Provides support and referral services to people in need in the cities of Banning, Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, Desert Hot Springs, Indio, Coachella, Salton Sea
  • NAMI Mt. San Jacinto  Phone: (951) 765-1850 NAMI Mt San Jacinto is a grassroots organization of families and individuals whose lives have been affected by serious mental illness.
  • Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) Riverside DBSA Riverside is the local chapter of the national DBSA. They are a peer-facilitated support group of people who support one another on the road to wellness. They include those diagnosed with mood disorders, their families and friends, and anyone else who seeks to learn more about depressive and bipolar mood (affective) disorders.
  • Friday Night Live Phone: (951) 782-2419 Friday Night Live is a youth oriented program catered to young people in the Riverside area. This organization provides activities and entertainment that promote an anti-drug, anti-drinking message to youth in the community. Located at: 3525 Presley Ave. Riverside, CA 92507

Get immediate support from a licensed mental health professional.  Dedicated to helping support the residents of Riverside County through issues surrounding anxiety, substance abuse, depression, school pressure, peer pressure, LGBTQ struggles, relational issues, suicidal thoughts, bullying, and any other issue that is causing trouble.

  • Riverside County 24/7 Mental Health Urgent Care
    If you or someone close to you is experiencing troubling thoughts, feelings, or behaviors, and you would like to speak with someone today, call or walk into one of Riverside Counties 24/7 Mental Health Urgent Care locations anytime.  Someone who has been in your situation and knows how to help will be there to greet you. Whether you are in crisis or just need someone to talk to, all services are voluntary.  Counseling and nursing, as well as, psychiatric medications are available.
    All locations are open 24/7.  Call or walk-in.  No appointments needed.
